Shelley Hughes

BSc · NCPS Accredited (NCS23-00761)

I’m an accredited integrative therapist with extensive experience supporting people as they make meaningful and lasting changes in their lives.

My areas of experience include trauma support, relationship challenges, neurodivergent-focused therapy, stress and anxiety, and coping with grief and loss.

Integrative counselling means I can draw on different ways of understanding emotional wellbeing and relationships. I adapt the work to the person in front of me rather than expecting you to fit a fixed programme.

My approach is grounded in creating a safe, open and accepting space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely. I understand that seeking therapy takes courage, and I aim to support you towards greater self-understanding, resilience and a more fulfilling life.

Shelley provides individual and couples counselling in person in Widnes and online.

Person-centred counsellor

Jonathan Hughes

BSc · Registered with BACP & NCPS

I’m a person-centred counsellor offering a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly without fear of judgement. My aim is to really listen and understand your experience, not to analyse you or tell you what to do.

I believe each of us already holds the capacity for growth and change, even when it does not feel that way. Sometimes we need the right kind of relationship, a space where we feel safe, accepted and genuinely understood, to begin making sense of things.

You might be feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, stuck or simply unsure why things do not feel right. Whatever you bring, we can explore it together at your pace, whether it involves relationship challenges, trauma or another concern.

You do not need to perform, explain everything perfectly or be in crisis to come to counselling. Above all, I aim to offer a down-to-earth, respectful relationship where you can be yourself.

Jonathan provides individual counselling for adults in person in Widnes and online. During online sessions, you are welcome to use video or keep your camera switched off and join using audio only.
